It's the adventures of me Sir Digby Chicken Caesar

Extremely funny.  Very, very rude jokes.  I think my favorite part of this movie was the revelation that Gilbert does some absolutely hysterical impersonations.

There's also a 10 minute rendition of the aristocrats joke at the end that is priceless.

Gilbert's great! He was the first to call bullshit on the post-9/11 moratorium on making jokes, too. So, as they say in Engerland: respect!

Also, Sarah Silverman, in The Aristocrats is the only one to truly pull the joke off successfully. The others were funny, sure, but her version was the only shocking version.

Oh, I dunno man.  Bob Saget did a great job with it as well.  I like Gilbert's version too because Gilbert doing an impersonation of Jerry Seinfeld telling parts of the aristocrats joke is absolutely priceless.

Watched this last night.... excellent movie.  It's one of those "always meant to see it" movies that I finally got around to.  Now I'll probably watch his other two flicks in rapid succession.

I second Sarah just because I like her humor...when she's on the mark.  That going too far shit with the straight face.

More low budget work from Sam Fuller that is strangely captivating.

And here's where Fuller got the story:

It had been a long time since I watched this.  It's really a touching movie... makes you feel for both sides in the war.

I never get tired of Kwai!  Alec Guinness really shines in the end, no?  The dawning realization.  "You!!"

And then, "... what have I done?!"  ahh... it's just heartbreaking.  It made me think of Empire of the Sun... it's a movie about the war, but in the end it's just about the human condition.

Loved the movie since I was a kid.  Not just because Higgins from Magnum PI was in the same fictional regiment, but also because it's written by the guy who did Planet of the Apes.

The bridge was never destroyed in real life, so you can go visit it whenever Burma turns into not a hellhole and it's safe to go there.  Long been on my list of things to see... It was bombed in 1945, but they only damaged the central span.  Post-war Japan, as part of war reparations, had to send men and equipment to repair it.

God.  Have to see it again thanks to you.  I hate this thread... There's not enough time to watch everything!

I hope Netflix adds more titles to their instant watch database.  There need to be more movies available.

Seaquest and Knight Rider season two yesterday!  Now, with TV-Links back, I'm watching Tru Calling.

Seaquest is really shitty, in retrospect. I remember watching it when I was younger and that series did not age gracefully. The theme song still kicked ass, though.
