In Bruges

So how come I've never watched this movie before?  Jesus...what a fantastic flick.  Just perfect.  I was mesmerized on many levels...from the travel bug, to the characters, to that wonderful showdown.

I'm not going to watch Martin McDonagh's "calling card" Six Shooter, which is a half hour film he shot himself and whored around for four years to raise money for In Bruges.

Wow... So Six Shooter is just 26 minutes and yet it feels like a full movie.  It's at turns hilarious and heart breaking.  I'm stunned it didn't make McDonagh a big name out of the gate.

It's only 250 megs, and isn't easily available, so I'll post it...uh...tomorrow morning, because I'm going to go read fantasy novels now like a big old girl's blouse.

yeah, i loved In Bruges.  L, not so much.  Kind of a guy movie, i guess, but not in that Die Hard way, in that "wow, that's kind of saying something about masculine insecurity and existentialism but still wrapped in one-liners and disdain for the Dutch."

yeah, get on that Six Shooter!  i want to see it.

Let me know what you think.

Because, like, I was trying to tell my story about a cow with trapped wind, like, you know, and then...

Oh.  Sheep.

In Bruges is very good.

Gleeson is great.
There will come a day for every man when he will relish the prospect of eating his own shit. That day has yet to come for me.
